I Love It When a Plan Comes Together!

One of my favorite shows growing up was the A-Team…NO ONE was badder than B.A. Baracus!  Even though B.A. was my favorite character, I used to emulate Hannibal the most.  I would go to elementary school with one of those cigars made out of gum and when no teachers were looking, I would pull it out and go “I love it when a plan comes together!”  I was the coolest!!!!

Well, Paige and I have been praying for about 2 years now for God to reaveal His will to us regarding our future and where He wants us.  There were times that I would get a little snippet of His plan and sometimes Paige would have more insight than I would…then there were times when we were both completely and miserably lost when it came to what direction to go!  But, the other night, we decided to leave the kids at Paige’s Mom’s house, go to Annapolis to relax and celebrate my birthday.  We were in a steak mood, so we decided to head to the local Outback and enjoy a quiet meal together which NEVER happens any more!!

Well, as we sat there and enjoyed our 16 oz Outback sirloin’s, we began to talk about what God has been speaking to each of us, especially regarding our future.  As we began to talk, I felt God enter that booth.   Now, if you know me at all, you would know that I don’t throw phrases like  ”God said” or “the Holy Spirit told me” around like some of my Pentecostal bretheren are so apt to do.  But, as we began to discuss our future, I felt the Holy Spirit guiding that conversation.  In fact, I know Paige felt it too because she grabbed her planner and began to write stuff down…for her, that’s like running in the aisles and hanging from the chandeliers :)

Over the next hour, we just began to brainstorm and free flow with the ideas that God was giving us and by the time we left, we had the crystalized plan that had eluded both of us for over 2 years!  I felt a peace in my spirit unlike I have felt for a very, very long time and I still feel it.  I almost felt like picking up a cigar on the way home!
